Arcen is one of the core cities of the municipality of Venlo and is located some 12 kilometres north of the city of Venlo. Arcen lies on the easternmost bank of the Meuse.

Contrary to its name, you will find an overwhelming number of ethnographic objects, 1500 stuffed animals and an impressive, colourful collection of butterflies, beetles and other insects.
Until further notice, the Missiemuseum is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 1 and 5 p.m. Reservations in advance are not required. A maximum of 40 visitors may be present in the museum.
